Saad is younger than Panarin

Is this really relevant when the difference is 1 year and they're both in their early to mid twenties?

Maybe not as much as the fact that Panarin's deal expires in 2019 while Saad's deal goes to 2021. That's the biggest part of all of this.

I'm not trying to say Saad is better than Panarin, but he's a better fit for what the Blackhawks need right now than Panarin is.

Saad is younger than Panarin with more years left on his contract. Panarin and Hjarlmarsson were both having expiring deals after 2019.

The Blackhawks are taking a gamble on Murphy. They aren't better now, but they're definitely intriguing. They must think they can slot DeBrincat in Panarin's place and keep things going.
